On January 10, 2026, the technical production team of Hubei Zhongqing New Material Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Hubei Zhongqing") visited Beijing JJRS Technology Development Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "JJRS"). The two sides conducted in-depth technical review and exchange on the two previously signed projects of blast furnace gas galvanizing production line with an annual output of about 600,000 tons.


As a modern metal material deep processing enterprise, Hubei Zhongqing has launched a continuous hot dip galvanizing unit of cold rolled strip steel with an annual output of 300,000 tons and an annual output of 290,000 tons. Both production lines adopt the improved Sengemir process, and the core breakthrough lies in the use of blast furnace gas annealing technology independently developed by JJRS. JJRS blast furnace gas annealing technology can increase the thermal energy utilization rate of blast furnace gas from 30% to more than 62%, and significantly reduce energy costs compared with natural gas. At the same time, because blast furnace gas is a "measured carbon resource", its recycling effectively avoids the new carbon emission and carbon quota consumption caused by the purchase of natural gas, and can realize the double benefits of cost control and carbon index optimization. Under the current situation of "anti-cooling" in the industry, this move not only significantly improves the cost competitiveness of Hubei Common Engine, but also jumping out of the traditional path of simple capacity expansion and price competition through technological upgrading. It will effectively help Hubei Common Engine to overcome the "cooling" in the industry with technology, and promote the iterative upgrading of metal deep processing technology and empower the transformation of the regional steel industry. Up to now, JJRS has designed and built 47 blast furnace gas galvanized, galvanized aluminum and magnesium, continuous return and color coating production lines for customers. In 2024, the company has made significant progress in research and development -- the gas air double regenerative radiation tube heating technology has been successfully landed, so that the products of the blast furnace gas cold rolling coating production line can be expanded from the field of building materials to high-end manufacturing fields such as household appliances, automobiles, food packaging, and further broaden the technical application boundaries and market space. Under the guidance of "double carbon" goal, blast furnace gas annealing technology is innovating, providing a replicable and generalized practical path for the green and efficient development of iron and steel industry.
